IN BEN’S OWN WORDS . . .

I have a passion for teaching the game of golf, which started in 1985 while living in southern California. I moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1987 to accept a position as an Assistant Golf Professional at the beautiful Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, California. In 1989 renowned PGA professional John Geertsen Jr. offered me a teaching professional position with the Golf Clinic Golf School, Pebble Beach, CA. Located at Poppy Hills Golf Course home of the Northern California Golf Association. Working side by side with John Geertsen Jr. and PGA Professional John Geertsen Senior, teacher to PGA Tour greats Tony Lema and Johnny Miller, I was like a sponge listening and learning. In 1990 I was promoted to Assistant Director of Instruction and in 1992 I became the Co-Director with John Geertsen Jr. I have had the great opportunity to occasionally instruct with The Pebble Beach Golf Academy and Laird Small.
